With less than one month to go before the Caballeros de Yuma’s Tacos & Tunes Festival, which will be held on Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th at the Desert Sun Stadium Complex, we need volunteers to fill all of the open slots on the attached schedule.  This festival is very similar to the Midnight At The Oasis (MATO) car show that our club has participated at since 2013, as our club will be selling beer tickets and serving beer in the “Food Court” area of the Desert Sun Stadium complex.

I appreciate everyone that have already volunteered for shifts, since this is a very labor-intensive event for our club.  However, we still need all club members (past & current), spouses, friends and colleagues to volunteer for the various shifts.  The bonus for volunteering at the Tacos & Tunes Festival is having complimentary access to all of the festival activities.

Admission for this event will be $2 per person during the day and $20 per person during the evening, which will feature headline musical performers, including country music artist Michael Ray on Saturday evening.  The Caballeros de Yuma website provided the following description this festival.

Lastly, closing up the evening with the famous Country Music Artist Michael Ray! Don’t miss his performance as he makes Yuma, AZ part of his Just the Way I Am tour! In four short years, Ray has built an impressive foundation. Three No. 1 songs “Kiss You in the Morning,” “Think a Little Less,” and “One That Got Away,” plus “Get to You” and “Her World or Mine,” brings his tally to five Gold-certified singles. His newest song “Picture” is a tribute to lost loved ones which follows his latest single “Whiskey and Rain”. Proof that heartbroken wallowing can feel good if it swings, “Whiskey and Rain” has garnered over eight million streams since its release, cementing Ray as the ideal bridge between vintage country cool and modern country’s best sounds.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you will be available to assist us with the Tacos & Tunes Festival.  This should be a fun and enjoyable event to participate in and, with your help, will raise money for our club’s various service projects.
